Why Is Agitation or Mechanical Action Required in Carpet Cleaning?

Agitation or Mechanical Action is very important in carpet cleaning because it helps to suspend the soil in the carpet. This can be accomplished by using a cylindrical shampoo machine or a rotary shampoo machine. An Oscillating Pad Machine such as the Hruby Orbot could also be used to agitate the preconditioner into the carpet. Proper Agitation will help to achieve the following benefits, 1. Aid in the distribution of the preconditioning agents or chemical. 2. Aids in the penetration of chemicals into the soils that we are attempting to remove. 3. Assist in soil suspension and dislodgement. 4. Lifts and seperates matted and crushed carpet fibres.

How Often Should I Get My Carpets Cleaned?

This depends on many things such as whether you have animals inside regularly, also whether your husband and children take off their shoes at the door and how many mats you have to scrape off the dirt. I would advise you to have them cleaned at least twice a year to remove fine soil and oily soils a vacuum just does not remove.
